FRANKLIN COUNTY – There were no injuries but plenty of damage from a crash in Franklin County Tuesday night in the 3900 block on Eaton Road, according to Responding Fire.
The wreck happened shortly after 6 p.m. The driver was able to get out of the truck when crews arrived.
Firefighters had to secure the vehicle to keep fluids from leaking into the stream.
A heavy wrecker was called in to pull the truck out of the water.
Virginia State Police are investigating. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department was also on hand. VDOT was also dispatched to survey the damage to the bridge.
No word on what caused the accident or if the driver faces any charges.
