Rocky Mount Man Believed to be On the Run After Investigators Find Over $3,900 in Cash, Weed and Semi-Automatic Handgun

ROCKY MOUNT – Investigators are looking for a Rocky Mount after they found pounds of marijuana, thousands of dollars in cash, digital scales, and a semi-automatic handgun in two searches.

Timothy Cleary, 20, of Rocky Mount, is believed to be out of the state, evading arrest, according to investigators.

Narcotics investigators executed a warrant in the 200 block of Ridgeacre Drive in Rocky Mount on March 14. Investigators say they seized 2.5 pounds of weed from the Timothy Shane Allen Cleary, 20, of Rocky Mount, who was living at the address.

Over $1,500 in cash was also found in the March search along with a semi-automatic handgun, digital scales and packaging materials.

Later on April 1, investigators executed another search warrant — this time in the 400 block of Lavender Lane in Rocky Mount. Investigators say they found another half ounce of marijuana, and numerous THC vaping cartridges. THC is the chemical in marijuana that gives users a high. Over $2,400 in cash was also found to be in possession of Cleary.

Felony warrants are out for Cleary, who is believed to be out of the state, evading arrest, investigators say. Additional charges may be pending as the investigation continues.
