Dorothy “Dot” Frances Walker, age 80 of Penhook passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Amos, Teresa and David Freeman, Audrey and Robert Arthur; son and daughter-in-law, James and Cindy Walker; grandchildren, Amanda Chance, Allison Fields, Taylor Amos, Rebekah McVeigh, Brittany Arthur, Olivia Arthur, Bethany Walker, Johnathan Walker; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Virginia Lawrence, Brenda and Leland George; brother and sisters-in-law, Edward and Sheree Lawrence, Frances Lawrence, Diane Lawrence; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Wilbur and Genia Walker, Helen Walker, Reba McBride. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Walker on May 20, 2022, her father and mother, James and Gladys Lawrence; brothers, William, Lloyd, Richard, Frankie; sisters, Patsy Lawrence, Shelby Nance; sister-in-law, Frances Lawrence; sister and brother-in-law, Gladys and Otie Walker; Father-in-law and mother-in-law, Taylor and Julia Walker; brother-in-law, Bernard Walker, Charles McBride; son-in-law, Donald “Buzz” Amos. Funeral services will be held at Boones Chapel Church, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 with Pastor Mike Gallimore officiating. Interment will follow in Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
