Moonshine Express Rolls Back Into Franklin County
Rocky Mount – After a two year absence, the Franklin County Historical Society is happy to announce the return of the “Moonshine Express” on Sunday, April 10th.
This rain or shine event will take place from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Benjamin Franklin Middle School.
“The buses won’t be rolling but the show will. Meet our characters who will tell their true tales about the local liquid industry from a “bus” stage. Talk with distillers – legal and not – and visit vendor stations. Gawkers Row will feature vehicles that either hauled moonshine likker – or could have. Roger Handy will provide the music.$15 per person at the gate. Children 15 and younger free.”
