Brenda Sue Steele, age 78 of Glade Hill went to be with her Heavenly Father Sunday, October 18, 2026.

At a young age, Brenda discovered two things that would carry her through her whole life. God and singing. If you knew her, she told you about Jesus and sang you a song. Called to a life of service, Brenda spent her working years caring for elderly patients in her home at the end of their life. She met her soulmate, Randy, later in life. They found a home away from home in Florida where they spent many years before returning home to Virginia.

Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Millie Cole; first husband, Donnie Perdieu; and soul mate, Randolph Steele.

She leaves behind two children, Mary “Nicky” LeBlanc (Keith) and Donnie “Blue” Perdieu (Amy); grandchildren, Jessica Wilburn and Charley “Bee” Hunt; great-grandchildren, June Ceron, Sadie McCroskey, Kaiden Ceron, Bella Ceron and Noah Ceron; sisters, Mary Watson and Julie Harvey.

Above all, Brenda loved God and her family beyond measure. The love she left behind is her legacy.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.

Services will be private.
