| The countdown to Homecoming Weekend 2026 has officially begun! The Office of Alumni, Family Relations, & Annual Giving is excited to welcome alumni, families, former and current employees, and friends back home to Ferrum College from October 30 through November 1 for a weekend of Panther Pride. This year, Homecoming Weekend includes Halloween on Saturday, October 31, bringing together traditional Panther spirit and a full day of Halloween festivities. Whether you are returning with family, reuniting with classmates, or coming back to root for the Panthers, there will be something for everyone.   Celebrate Ferrum College MilestonesThis is a year of milestones for Ferrum College, and we are calling many of our alumni back to campus to celebrate:Class of 1976: Celebrate your 50th Reunion and induction into the Golden Panthers, including members of the historic first-ever class to graduate with bachelor’s degrees. 1966 Black Hats, Cheerleaders & Mascot: Reunite for their 60th anniversary as National Runners-Up. A special presentation will take place during the All Golden Panthers event Friday, October 30. Environmental Science & Social Work: Celebrate the 50th anniversaries of these programs. Tin Cup Affinity Group: Return to campus for its 50th anniversary as part of the Environmental Science celebration.  Halloween at Homecoming Bring your Halloween spirit to the Alumni Welcome Tent and the tailgate grounds at Bassett Hall Field on Saturday, October 31, starting at 10:00 a.m. Tailgate spots are first-come, first-served, so arrive early!Tailgate Trunk-or-Treat: Decorate your trunk and bring candy for a campus-wide Trunk-or-Treat experience. Compete for prizes for the best Halloween tailgate decorations, too. Costume Contest: Compete for prizes in categories including Best Group/Family Costume, Most Creative, Best Retro/Throwback, and Best School Spirit. Dunk Tank: Test your throw and see if you can dunk someone to win a prize. Festive Treats: Enjoy complimentary cotton candy and popcorn. Bring your lawn chair! Cornhole Tournament: Grab a partner and compete for bragging rights and alumni merch. Plus lots more: Enjoy live music, photo booths, campus tours, and family-friendly lawn games leading up to kickoff. The weekend will also include plenty of opportunities to reconnect, reminisce, celebrate, and cheer on the Panthers. The Homecoming football game will feature one of Ferrum’s oldest rivalries, Chowan University.  Important: Book Your Room Today!Don’t get left without a home base!Homecoming Weekend 2026 coincides with one of the region’s busiest weekends, including Martinsville race weekend. Hotel availability in Ferrum and surrounding communities is expected to be extremely limited, so we strongly encourage you to book your accommodations now. |
