William Louis Meier

William Louis Meier, age 84 of Wirtz died Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in New York on July 25, 1941 a son of the late Robert and Eleanor Meier. Surviving are his wife, Janice Meier; sons, Bill Meier (Lisa Meier) and David Meier (Diana Meier); daughter, Marnie Meier; grandchildren, Little Billy, Stevie Meier, Greg Meier, Steven Meier, Chris Meier, Robert Meier; and brothers, John Meier and Bob Meier. He was a New York Fire Fighter and Boat Mechanic for many years. He enjoyed golf, fishing, boating and hunting. His family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2026 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
