Ricky Franklin Dillon (67) passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. He was born on October 19, 1958. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt and Exie Dillon.

He is survived by his daughter, Brandy Hodges and his granddaughters, Abbigail Cooper, McKenzie and Skyler Oakes. He is also survived by his sister, DeeDee, and his nephew Jamey Singleton and his niece Kimberly Kaufmann and her family, husband Georg, Tyler and Alex Kaufmann. Extended family Tammy Dillon, who was always ready to help and support him. Johnny Singleton. Ricky loved jamming with Johnny down at Riverside Minute Market.

Ricky owned and operated Dillon’s Logging for many years.

When Ricky was young he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his Dad. He loved riding his mini bike.

Ricky was born with a love of music, a gift of natural ability. He was in a band (Sweetwater) during his teenage years. He played guitar, drums and the banjo. He could listen to a song and hear the chords and play them as if he wrote them himself.

Ricky created many memories in his lifetime and enjoyed sharing those with anyone who would listen.

Through all the hardships Ricky faced, he faced them head on. He told his sister after his Dad passed away that he “was a survivor”. He faced them with a smile, he loved to laugh and joke. His family hopes you will remember him that way.

Don’t walk, Ricky, RUN!!! You were loved more than you know.

Services will be private.
