Glendola Nichols Wagoner Midkiff

Glendola Nichols Wagoner Midkiff, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 14, 2024.  She was born December 14, 1928 to the late Victora Booth Nichols and Thurman Nichols.  She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Floyd Edward Wagoner; her loving husband, Richard Midkiff and her eldest son, Edward G. Wagoner. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Leon, Cedric, Thurman and Audrey; her son’s and daughter-in-law’s and their friends, Diann Wagoner, Anthony Scott, Thanhha Dong, Lillie Mattox, Barbara Long; her grandchildren, Samuel Wagoner (Leah Perkins), Crystal Johnson (Richard), Tracy Meade, Brian Wagoner, Victoria Wagoner, Bradley Scott, Carla Blake, Alicia Scott (Chuck) and grandson-in-law, Scottie Meade; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Braedyn, Kailin Johnson, Ethan Meade, Caleb and Courtney Blake, Tres Scott; her brother, Bud D. Nichols (Bo); sister, Bessie Peters; her in-laws, Hub Midkiff, Marie Thompson, Clyde Lawson along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Glendola attended Bethany United Methodist Church, where she loved to share her testimony.  She loved gardening, canning, fishing, talking to her friends, playing Rook, reading her Bible and preparing special meals for her family. She had a wealth of knowledge and an excellent memory. She was the person so many turned to when they needed advice or how to do something.  She was truly one of a kind.  Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. A graveside service will be held at Endicott Hill Cemetery 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2024 with Pastors Winston Crinchlow and Dave Taylor officiating.  The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior at the graveside.  Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
