Kimberly Dawn Wimmer Alls

Kimberly Dawn Wimmer Alls, age 47 of Wirtz, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born June 20, 1976, the daughter of Douglas Lane Wimmer and Lynda Forbes Wimmer. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Hazel Forbes; and beloved aunt, Mary Forbes. Surviving are her husband of 26 years and the love of her life, Craig Alls; two daughters, Lauren and Haleigh Alls; mother, Lynda Wimmer; two brothers, Steve Wimmer and Tommy Wimmer; many nieces and nephews. Kimberly was the best mom and daughter anyone could be blessed with. She loved the Lord and her family. Kimberly served her community for many years as a dispatcher at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and then later as a social worker with Child Protective Services. She had a contagious smile, great sense of humor and always had a good prank. Special thanks to her doctors at the Blue Ridge Cancer Center, Mountain Valley Hospice and her Halesford Baptist Church Family. Funeral Services will be conducted at Halesford Baptist Church, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023 with Pastor Craig Polston, Pastor Keith Floyd and Pastor Melvin Harris officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Halesford Columbarium at a later date. Her family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the church.
