ROCKY MOUNT – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office hosted a Civilian Response and Casualty Care (CRCC) training at the Franklin Center last Thursday..
There were two sessions, four hours each, one in the morning and one in the evening. This course provided strategies, guidance and a proven plans for surviving an active attack event.
The sheriff’s office combined the civilian response with a medical component, which empowers civilians to provide lifesaving medical aid before first responders arrive.
The classes were advertised county wide to all citizens and the course was attended by other local law enforcement, school staff members, and local church members.
The FCSO says they appreciate all of the law enforcement help and support from the people who attended.
