Flora Funeral Service Obituary: Brenda Tyree

Brenda L. Tyree, age 71 of Rocky Mount died Friday, June 14, 2019. She was born July 21, 1947 and was preceded in death by her father, Walter L. Tyree, mother, Christine Tyree; and granddaughter, Ashley Trail. Surviving are her sister, Rebecca McCall; sons, Todd Carter, Sterling Carter and friend, Kathy Riddleberger; special friend, Eddie Tuck; grandchildren, Bradley Carter, Marcus Carter and Emily, Matthew Carter and friend, Ashley; great-grandchildren, Stella and Walter Carter; many adopted children and grandchildren; dogs, Sassy and Bandit; many horses and lots of special friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Glade Hill Baptist Church 11 a.m. Saturday with Rev. David Long officiating. Interment will follow in the English Family Cemetery. Family and friends will have a fellowship meal at Sontag Community Center following the burial. Her family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Friday at Glade Hill Baptist Church.
