April 13, 2019Calling all kids 15 and under come join us from 10am-2pm at the Recreation Park Woody Lake . Back again by popular demand is the FREE DGIF youth only stocked trout pond and fishing competition at Recreation Park .Pack a lunch, grab your tackle box and fishin’ rod and see if you can win the trophy for the largest or smallest fish of the day . Ages 16 and older cannot assist with catching a fish, setting the hook and/or retrieving the fish per DGIF regulations . We’ll see you at the Lake!

April 20, 2019Join us for this free hunt at Waid Park at 2pm as those ages 12 & under will try to find over 20,000 eggs hidden in the park. Activities will include outdoor games, inflatables, food vendors and the Easter Bunny.

April 27, 2019 – April 28, 2019Join us at the Franklin County Parks & Recreation Department Tennis Facility in April as we host the first outdoor pickleball tournament in the county brought to you by HUMANA . Come join your fellow pickleball players and others from across the state for 2 days of fun filled competitive play . In case of inclement weather tournament will be moved indoors to the Essig Recreation Center
