Bruce Warren Bowling

Bruce Warren Bowling, age 75 of Ferrum, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 9, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ottis and Goldie Bowling; sister, Bonnie Shively; and his in-laws, Marvin and Vira Shively. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Shively Bowling; sons, Douglas Warren Bowling and Michael Bruce Bowling (Denise); grandchildren, Justin Adam Thomas Bowling, Brianna Bailey, Brittany Bowling, Matthew Bowling, and Michaela Bowling; brother, Wayne Bowling (Margie); sisters, Jane Hodges (Roger), Robin Whitmer (Bev); brother-in-law, Roger Shively; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who are left to cherish his memory. Bruce was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He also loved and supported his community. Bruce was a member of the Waidsboro Ruritan Club and faithfully served at the Ferrum Faith Assembly of God. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 with Pastor Adam Coombs officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Waidsboro Ruritan Club or a charity of your choice.
