Billy H. Shepherd

Billy H. Shepherd, age 85 of Mebane, NC, and formerly of Franklin County went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hughie and Vera Shepherd. He is survived by his wife, Lolene Edwards Shepherd; children, Sherrie Magruther (John), Roger Shepherd (Theresa) and Carla Shepherd; grandchildren, Chelsea David (Bobby), William Shepherd (Michelle) and Benjamin Shepherd (Samantha); one great-grandchild, Lucas Shepherd; brother, Page Shepherd (Betty) and many nieces and nephews. Billy was a former member of Trinity Reformed Baptist Church and attended Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Mebane, NC. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and he retired from Virginia Tech after many years of service in the Mechanical Engineering Department. A private graveside service will be conducted at Franklin Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Trinity Reformed Baptist Church, Boones Mill, Va.
