Louise Anderson Hodges

August 17, 1940 – October 23, 2024

Louise Anderson Hodges, age 84 of Rocky Mount, Virginia, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.  She was surrounded by her family as she took her final breath and left behind many family and friends.  Louise was born on August 17, 1940.  She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend.  Her family members were long time tobacco farmers on the family farm where she lived.  She was a member of Doe Run Christian Church in Rocky Mount, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mattie Anderson, 6 brothers, and 2 sisters; her husband, Ralph Eugene Hodges; son, Ronnie Eugene Hodges; and grandson, SPC Ronnie Shane Hodges.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Janet Hodges; one daughter and son-in-law, Denice and Davy Tilley; one daughter-in-law, Tammy Hodges; one brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Nellie Anderson; five grandchildren, Justin Hodges (Jessica), Nicole Hodges, Kaitlyn Tilley (Jordan), Courtney Poage (Josh), and Patrick Robertson; five great-grandchildren, Hayla Hodges-Bailey, Chrissa Mitchell, Isaac Hodges, Jacob Hodges, and Journey Sigmon; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would also like to thank Judy Arthur for always being by her side and Tory Nichols for visiting her, praying with her, and giving support to the family.

The family will be holding a private funeral service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center in Rocky Mount, VA.  The service will be Friday, October 25, 2024 officiated by Pastor Justin Hodges. Burial will follow at Anderson Family Cemetery on Sealtest Lane in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
