Mayree Tosh Robertson, age 87, of Rocky Mount, Virginia answered the Lord’s call home on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. Mayree was born February 25, 1937 in Rocky Mount, Virginia and was the fifth child of the late Benjamin and Mary Tosh. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Taylor Robertson; her son, Robert Robertson; great-grandson, Carson Altice; and her five brothers, Edgar Tosh, JC Tosh, Clinton Tosh, Billy Tosh, and Alvin (Popeye) Tosh.

Mayree was employed by M&W Manufacturing for 34 years until she retired in 1998. The joy of her life were her grandkids until her great grandkids came along. Mayree spent countless nights watching her favorite program, Wheel of Fortune. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Redeeming Life PHC. She had a lifelong relationship with her Lord and Savior that she lived out in front of her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Robertson (Marea); two daughters, Rita Layman (Derron) and Becky Pruitt (Barry); seven grandchildren, Billy Riddle (Tara), Patrick Robertson, Chris Riddle, Josh Pruitt (Tabitha), Jessie Gray (Austin), Casey Altice (Josh), and Andrew Robertson; ten great-grandchildren, Caedyn Riddle, Chloee Riddle, Colby Gray, Claire Riddle, Jack Gray, Serena Altice, Benjamin Riddle, Liam Altice, Ella Riddle, and coming in February of 2025 Adalynn Marie Pruitt; special son and daughter, Steve and Shelia Dillon; special grandson, Cameron Dillon; two sisters, Margie Prillaman and Joyce Ross (David); five sisters-in-law, Mildred Tosh, Shirley Tosh, Gladys Tosh, Juanita Tosh and Pat Robertson; numerous nieces and nephews; special niece, Merle Meadows; special friends, Ann Nichols, Sherry Anderson and Debbie Dillon. 

Funeral services will be conducted at Redeeming Life PHC, 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2024 with Reverend Dave Smith and Andrew Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Riddle, Chris Riddle, Josh Pruitt, Andrew Robertson, Cameron Dillon, Austin Gray, and Josh Altice. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount. The family will be accepting visitors at the home, 524 Power Dam Road.
