Betty Jean Meeks Mullins

September 7, 1945 – October 6, 2024

Betty Jean Meeks Mullins, loving mother and Nannie, was born September 7, 1945 to the late Fred and Beulah Meeks. She passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024. Betty was also preceded in death by her brother, Wilford Meeks; and her sister, Christine Altice. Betty loved spending time with her children, Timmy Mullins (Renee), Tammy Harrell (Ricky) and Tony Mullins (Stephanie). The absolute joy of her life are her seven grandchildren, Taylor and Tanner Harrell, Casey, Landon, and Ryder Mullins, and Cameron and Braden Mullins. Nannie was their biggest cheerleader and encourager attending as many of their activities as possible. Nannie’s goal was to see each one graduate which she did in May.

Special appreciation to her brother-in-law, Andrew Altice and special niece, Diane Bernard (Brute). Betty, hardworking and dedicated to serving her community, loved her friends and co-workers at Frankin County High School and The Hub Restaurant. Betty found great joy in attending Franklin Heights Church, where she nurtured her deep faith in Jesus and shared her love for Him with her family and friends.

Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.” — Proverbs 31:25- 28
