Jerry Wayne Anderson

July 2, 1954 – June 12, 2024

Jerry Wayne Anderson, age 69 of Rocky Mount passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Surviving are his children, Pamela (Steve) Chitwood, Diane (Cody) Ayers, Christopher Anderson, Freddy Anderson and James Anderson; grandchildren, De’Mario Anderson, Olivia Chitwood, Skyler Anderson, Hayden Robertson, Abigail Perdue, Joseph Perdue, Lexi Hall, Colten Hall, Brelynn Williams-Anderson, Gunner Williams, Truxston Williams, Remington Anderson-McBride and Parklyn Ayers; one great-grandchild due December 2024; sisters, Marie (Greg) Hodges, Freda Anderson and Teresa (Gary) Guilliams; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many more family members. Jerry was retired from Walmart with over 25 years of service. He loved fishing and being outdoors. He spent the last three years loving on his grandchildren, especially Truxston and Parklyn. Jerry will be deeply missed by many including his newest kitten, Stella. The family would like to thank Carilion Hospice and Franklin Home Health for sending out their sweet nurses to help with the care of Jerry. He grew some amazing bonds with them. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2024 with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in the Anderson Family Cemetery (Sealtest Lane). His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
