Ferrum College President Joins the Conversation on “Virginians of Interest” podcast
FERRUM, VA, May 14, 2024 – Ferrum College President Dr. Mirta Martin was recently featured on the “Virginians of Interest” podcast in an episode titled “Resilience and Opportunity: Dr. Mirta Martin’s Journey to the Presidency of Ferrum College”. Dr. Martin had an engaging conversation with the hosts Carthan Currin and Brian Campbell where she shared her personal immigration story and how it provides her a foundation to relate to many of today’s students, especially those who are first generation college students and those who face financial challenges. She highlighted the innovative and exceptional opportunities at Ferrum College as well as the resources the College offers to fulfill its commitment to affordability such as the Panther Promise of free tuition to qualifying Virginia students.
