David Martin Hamrick, Sr.

David Martin Hamrick, Sr., age 86 of Penhook passed away at home Sunday, July 23, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Eden, NC on December 24, 1936 a son of the late Aubrey Hamrick and Evelyn Hamrick Pulliam. David was preceded in death by both his parents; and his daughter, Marla Hamrick Ashby; and his grandson, David Lee Hamrick. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend! He worked many years at Dupont and was ALWAYS ready for a charity ride on his Harley, and always loved making the holidays feel special playing Santa Claus at the old K-mart in Eden, NC. David is survived by his wife of their home in Penhook, Regina Turner Hamrick; son, Marty Hamrick of Eden; daughter, Kima Davis (Frankie) of Danville. As well as special family members, Kenny Pack of Eden his partner in crime/ride or die son and Michelle Trent of Denton. He also had five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren he loved dearly. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carilion Clinic Hospice for their help and services. A memorial service will be held at Lazy Cove Campground, 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023.
