Jared Lee Burtner

Jared Lee Burtner, age 35, of Rocky Mount, VA, formerly of Zelienople, PA, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2022.Born on May 23, 1986 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of Paul and Sharon (Ertzberger) Boros. Jared loved the Lord and shared his faith with everyone. He was an active member of Pleasant Hill Church of Rocky Mount. He was employed at ProAmpac. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish, hike and camp. He also enjoyed carving and picking chestnuts from his neighbor’s tree. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. Jared leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Serenity Paige Burtner; his parents, Sharon and Paul Boros; his three brothers, Steven Appleton (Jennifer), Shawn Boros (Melody), and Robert Boros (Courtney); his maternal grandmother, Patricia Johnston; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pleasant Hill Church, Saturday, March 26, 2022. His family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Following the service, there will be a luncheon for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jared’s honor to help support his growing daughter, Serenity.
