2019 Ag Fair Kicks Off With Open Horse Show Sept. 14
On September 14, 2019, the 2019 Franklin County Agricultural Fair will kick off with the Franklin County Open Horse Show. The Franklin County Equestrian Club is the organizer of the Open Horse Show.
The Open Horse Show is inviting competitors to participate. Competitors may register starting at 9:00 a.m. the day of the show. Pre-registration is available through the Fair website. Entry fees are $10.00 per class. Spectators may attend the show for free, with the shows beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The Open Horse Show will be sanctioned by the Blue Ridge Horse Force and the Franklin County Equestrian Club. Competitors do not need to be a member of either organization to participate. The Open Horse Show will feature 76 competitive classes with ribbons awarded for First through Sixth place. Championship and Reserve Championship will be awarded in English, Hunter, Ranch, Western, Walking/Racking and Gymkhana – Youth & Adult Divisions. The Open Horse Show will occur at Shadow Ridge Stables, 10120 Booker T. Washington Hwy, Wirtz, Va. Concessions available. Spectators may bring a lawn chair.
