In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Momma

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Michelle Antoinette Jones Butler, who peacefully went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at the age of 65.

Momma was more than a mother. She was our best friend, our safe place, our strength and the heart of our family. She had a way of loving that made you feel protected, cared for and never alone. Her love was unconditional, her heart was generous, and her presence brought comfort wherever she went.

Momma was a fighter. Even through the hardest moments, she continued to show the strength and courage that everyone who knew her admired. She loved her family deeply and took pride in the people she raised and the family that grew around her.

She leaves behind precious memories that will forever live in the hearts of her children, Michael G. Butler, Jr. and Tasha L. Butler (Damien); grandchildren, Haley Gilbert (Brandon), Adriania Butler, Da’Shaun Butler, Zachary Butler (Journey), Greenley Butler and A’Niyah Butler; great-grandchildren, Bentley Butler, Isabell Bowman, Zayden Bowman, Saylor Butler and Baby Bowman. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Jones (Trish); sisters, Wendy Jones, Brenda Matthew and Jeanne Kendrick (Terry); along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory.

There will never be another Momma like her. Her voice, her smile, her love, and the way she made us feel will remain with us forever. We know this goodbye is not forever. We hold onto the promise that one day we will see her again.

Rest peacefully, beautiful Momma. You fought your fight. You gave us your love. Now you can rest in the arms of Jesus. Forever loved, forever missed, forever our Momma.
