Town Statement on Incident at Perdue Office

(ROCKY MOUNT, Va.) – There have been several media inquiries regarding an incident that
occurred yesterday at Mayor Holland Perdue’s personal office. Since this is a personal incident related to
his business and not one related to his position as mayor, please direct any inquiries to his office.

The Rocky Mount Police Department can confirm that they responded to an incident at Holland
Perdue’s personal office located at 245 South Main Street on April 30, 2026, regarding impersonation of a
law enforcement officer as well as possible threats. We are not aware of any current threats to the general
public. The incident is currently under investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.
