Donna Robertson Jefferson

October 9, 1959 — April 15, 2026

In loving memory of Donna Robertson Jefferson. Donna passed suddenly on April 15th, 2026 at the age of 66 surrounded in prayer by the ones she loved. She has completed her mission here on earth and is now worshiping our Father in Heaven! Donna was a dedicated child of God that shared her faith and her love with everyone she came in touch with.

Donna attended Franklin County High School, worked diligently as an IT specialist for 40 years, and attended Landmark Baptist Church, Fairway Baptist Church, and New Vision Baptist Church. She has been quoted as a “missionary for Christ” due to her dedication to the Lord’s calling to her life and how she shared it with others.

Donna is preceded in death by her loving father, Charlie William Robertson; and her mother, Carlene Estelle Rakes Robertson. She is also preceded in death by two of her brothers, Lewis Robertson and Roger Robertson.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Jerry Wayne Jefferson; her eldest son, James William Slaughter and spouse Tracey Slaughter; her daughter, Heather Celeste Jefferson and spouse James L-Ray Pagans; her youngest son, Jordan William Jefferson and spouse Olivia Jefferson; her grandchildren, Colton Slaughter and Alexis Slaughter; her siblings, Gaynel Hardy and Charlie Robertson Jr.; and her embraced daughter, Aaliyah Bryanna Craig.

Donna cared deeply about her husband and children, which was demonstrated through a life of sacrifice and service. Donna was a wonderful woman with a strong heart, a strong will, and an even stronger dedication to the Lord our Father. She had a passion for creativity that she utilized to create Easter plays, Christmas plays, and drama skits that led many to salvation. She will be forever loved and missed. We want to personally thank everyone in our family, our church family, and the ones who knew Donna for their support and love.

Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 12 noon Monday, April 20, 2026 with Pastor Kirk Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
