Jeffrey Delaine Hollandsworth

March 15, 1962 — April 8, 2026

Jeffrey Delaine Hollandsworth, age 64 of Rocky Mount, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

Jeff was born March 15, 1962, a son of the late Larry Delaine Hollandsworth and Betty Jean Wimbish Whitlow.

He is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Hollandsworth, and his son, Eric Hollandsworth. He also leaves behind his long‑time companion, Sandra Paulette Young; his sister, Angie Dillon; and his brothers, Greg Whitlow, Tim Whitlow, and Warren Whitlow. Jeff is remembered as well by many extended family members and friends who loved him.

He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a man who valued family, loyalty, and simple moments shared with the people he cared about. He was a former member of Patrick Henry Volunteer Fire Department. Among other things, he worked as an electrician and was known for his willingness to help anyone who needed a hand. Jeff enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, and spending time outdoors. He also loved listening to and playing banjo and guitar, and he rarely missed a chance to tune in to 96.3 Rock, his favorite radio station. His memory will live on in the stories shared and the lives he touched.

Funeral services will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel, 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026 with Rev. Dennis Hollandsworth officiating. Interment will follow in the Holland Family Cemetery at the home. His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and other times at the home (2472 Doe Run Road Rocky Mount, VA). In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bassett Moose Lodge.
