Anna Davis Sawyers

Anna Davis Sawyers, age 93 of Ferrum died Thursday, March 19, 2026 at her home. She was born May 22, 1932 a daughter of the late Joe Davis and Della Addair Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Sawyers, brothers and sisters, Franklin Davis, Michael Davis, Bob Davis, Arber Davis, Homer Davis, Lucille Davis, Sylvia Davis, Eugene Addair. Anna will be remembered for her sense of humor and the way she made everyone feel like family. She was a devoted homemaker who found great joy in farming, gardening and canning. Anna was a member of Prillaman Baptist Church and enjoyed fellowship and fun with church family. Her other interest included traveling but her favorite was being able to take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her sons, Ricky Sawyers (Lynnie) of Ferrum, Ray Sawyers (Lori) of Elyria, Ohio; daughter, Aleta Crabtree (Frank) of Ferrum; grandchildren, Laura Crabtree of War, West Virginia, Mark Crabtree of War, West Virginia, Angie Weimer (Fred) of Elyria, Ohio, Deven Sawyers of Ferrum, Trish McGhee (Daniel) of Bedford; great-grandchildren, Hunter Cross, James Crabtree, Amber Crabtree, Christian Richardson, Ava McGhee, Zach Layne and Freddie Weimer; brother, Hascal Davis (Pat); sisters, Jame Logan and Hattie Collison. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Prillaman Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2026 with Pastor Mike Magnani officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Ferrum. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
