David Pearson Brown

David Pearson Brown, age 44 of Rocky Mount died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born September 25, 1980 and was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen B. Frith; his Nannie and Pa-Poo; and grandparents, Joe and Pat Millehan. David graduated from Franklin County High School in 1998 and worked in the automotive industry. He loved shooting pool, kids, animals and was his dad’s best friend. David never met a stranger anywhere. He also loved racing and working on cars. David was married to Amber Brown for 20 years. Surviving are his father, Raymond Wayne Brown, Jr. (Cathy); brother, Gary E. Fitzgerald, Jr. (Amanda Yeary); sister, Amanda Pagans (Robert); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews; and lifelong brother/friend, Steve Pagans. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Crossroads (Gills Creek) Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Monday, September 29, 2025 at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
