Serenity Louise Rose Akers, infant daughter of Faith Perkey and Merrick Akers passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025. Surviving are her uncles on mothers’ side, Noah Perkey, Kyrin John and Traetyn Hale, Samuel Coles; uncles on fathers’ side, Mason Reyes, Maddox Brothers, Matteo Brothers; aunts on dads’ side, Tiffany Akers, Jennifer Akers, Kaitlyn Akers Birdie; grandmother on mothers’ side, Emma Hartman; grandmother on fathers’ side, Roma Brothers; grandfather on mothers’ side, Paul Perkey; grandfather on fathers’ side, Billy Akers. She was accompanied in heaven by her great-grandmother, Tina Perkey; her great aunt, Katie Ann Thurston; her cousins, Daniel Macleod and Aubry Scheffler; her great-grandmother and great-grandfather, Norma and Billy Akers. Services will be private. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
