Kay Dunlap Potter, age 81 of Glade Hill, died Friday, February 21, 2025. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Jane Dunlap; brothers, Lyle, Larry and Richard; sister-in-law, Patricia Ann and brother-in-law Aubrey Wayne; husband, Jim; and her daughter-in-law, Rochelle Bower Potter. Kay lived a very enriching life; working many years in the banking industry before transitioning to volunteering for organizations in the community and advocating for individuals with disabilities while raising her family. Surviving are her children, Wendi Potter Kelly, Lesli Potter Norris (Christopher Norris), Holli Potter and Drew Potter; grandchildren, Nicholas Kelly, Dakotah Kelly, Tanner Kelly, Kerrigan Kelly, Aidan Kelly, Ian Norris, Mia Potter, Daniel Potter. Also surviving are several extended family members and close family friends. The family is asking in lieu of flowers to make a donation to either the Alzheimer’s Association, Dementia Society of America or charity of your choice that supports individuals in need. The Potter family would like to especially thank Franklin Health & Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and loving care of Kay. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Flora Funeral Service, Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 12:00 Noon – 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
