Henry Lee Patterson
July 13, 1956 – February 14, 2025

On the morning of Friday, February 14, 2025, an angel of peace came quietly to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and took our dearly departed Henry Lee Patterson home.
He was born to the late Robert Early Patterson, Sr. and Lillie Pearl Patterson on July 13, 1956 in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Henry was a devoted servant of the Lord who dedicated his life to faith and community service. His unwavering commitment to both his faith and his community left a lasting impact on all that knew him. He worked at Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital in engineering and maintenance for 47 years, retiring December 2022. He gave his life to God and joined Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church later in his life and became a dedicated and loyal member, serving as a trustee and on the usher board.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Early Patterson, Sr.; mother, Lillie Pearl Patterson; father-in-law, Donald Clifton Bonds; four sisters, Patricia Patterson, Rachel Patterson, Elizabeth Tyree, and Doris Allen, one brother, John Patterson; two brothers-in-law, Ronald Hicks and Patrick Helms, two sisters-in-law, Audrey Patterson and Mary Ellen Patterson, one special nephew, James “Junie” Patterson.
He leaves to cherish his wife Dinah Patterson of Rocky Mount; mother- in- law, Mary Bonds of Rocky Mount; two brothers, Robert Patterson, Jr. and Bobby Patterson both of Rocky Mount; four sisters, Mary Helms, Linda Hicks, Tracy Patterson, and Brenda Gill all of Rocky Mount; one sister-in-law, Mary (Nelson) Brown of Fayetteville, NC; four brothers-in-law, James “JC” (Willie) Bonds of Rocky Mount, Donald (Tina) Bonds of Roanoke, Clifton Bonds of Rocky Mount, and Leonard Allen of Roanoke; three special God-daughters, Tracy (Wayne) Spencer-Sandolph of Lithia, FL, Angelica (Kenneth) Witcher Walker of Roanoke and Tawatha Tucker of Fayetteville, NC; special loved ones, Patsy Patterson, Walter Chism, Danny Brooks, and Charlie Brumfield; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at Faith Fellowship Church 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The viewing will begin at 4:00 p.m. Monday at Faith Fellowship Church followed by wake service at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
