Evonne Marie Altice Dillon

April 11, 1943 – September 19, 2024

Evonne Marie Altice Dillon, age 81 of Rocky Mount died Thursday, September 19, 2024. She was born April 11, 1943 a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret Hall Altice and was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Daniels of Rocky Mount. Evonne spent her time at home with her loving and caring husband Jimmy of 63 years. She loved spending time with her family, her Saturday’s out going to yard sales, working in her flowers and doing crafts with her girls and sister, Vicki. Her favorite time of year was Christmas time where she loved to bake cookies and make candy to share with all her friends and family. Surviving are her husband, Jimmy Dillon of Rocky Mount; daughters, Rhonda Dudley of Martinsville, Beannie (Gerald) Myers of Rocky Mount; grandson, Lee (Bonnie) Myers of Rocky Mount; granddaughter, Jessica (Bam) Manns of Rocky Mount; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Vicki (JT) Hodges of Rocky Mount; brothers, Randolph (Louise) Altice of Oklahoma, Jimmy (Pat) Altice of Rocky Mount; many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her caregivers, Jackie Scott, Jackie Johnston and to Mountain Valley Hospice for their care and concern. Funeral services will be conducted from Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Monday, September 23, 2024. Interment will follow in the Dillon Family Cemetery (3 Oaks Road, Wirtz, VA). Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
