Bobby Sigmon

September 17, 1937 – September 25, 2024

Bobby Sigmon, age 87 of Boones Mill, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. He spent his last days surrounded by family and friends. Bobby loved his family and was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He served as Trustee to Bethany Church of the Brethren. Providing a great work ethic for his children, he worked as a machinist/welder at Interstate Equipment for 30 plus years. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting. After retirement, he spent his time caring for his fish pond, fondly named The Little Ponderosa. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Flemon Andrew and Eula Martin Sigmon; sisters, Deltha Jefferson (Edward) and Elsie Furrow (Claude); brothers, Hamp Sigmon, Bill Sigmon, Eugene Sigmon (Joyce Ann), Wayne Sigmon (Ruth), and Nicky Sigmon (Sue); brother-in-law, Jimmy Sink. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 60 years, Loretta Custer Sigmon; daughters, Donna Brubaker (Randy) and Angie Shively (Durand); son, Chris Sigmon (Alison); grandchildren, Levi Stanley, Lauren Alley, Mia, Eli, and Asa Sigmon; great-grandchildren, Clinton Stanley and Grant Alley; sister, Maxine Sink; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Sigmon and Tressie Sigmon; multiple nieces and nephews. Countless lifelong friends who he treasured. Special appreciation to the ER and Acute Care staff at Franklin Memorial for the care, comfort, and support they provided to daddy and the family. A memorial service will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Flora Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jessi Slusher officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. His family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Flora Funeral Service.
