Frank Marvin Eggleston
June 3, 1933 – June 5, 2024
Deacon Frank Eggleston departed this life on June 5, 2024 at Franklin Health Care and Rehab Center in Rocky Mount. Deacon Eggleston was preceded in death by his father and mother, Overt and Robert Eggleston. Also his sisters and brothers, Harry, John, Inez, Louise, Robert (Flip), Laura, and Odius.
Deacon Frank was self-employed for many years. Deacon Eggleston helped build Emmanuel Tabernacle Baptist Church of Moneta, where he was a devoted member and oversaw operations. He was well known for playing the BIG drum every Sunday morning. Frank loved the song “Soon and Very Soon We Are Going To See The King”.
Deacon Frank Eggleston is survived by is four sons, Bishop Henry (Carolyn) Eggleston, Sr, Raymond (Cynthia) Arrington, Vic (Ginny) Arrington, and Eugene (Debra) Arrington, three daughters, Delores (Richard) Wright, Wanda (Oliver) Blaney, and Brenda Arrington. Frank is also survived by two grandchildren, Dr. Henry (Sara) Eggleston, Jr, and Beverly Eggleston. Five great grandsons, Isaiah, Nathan, Micah, Andrew, and Luke. A host of other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Promise Land Baptist Church (Moneta), 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2024 with Dr. Henry Eggleston, Jr. officiating. His family will receive friends starting at 12:00 noon prior to the service. Viewing will be held 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremations Center, Rocky Mount.
