FERRUM, Virginia — Lauren Engel pitched a complete game three-hit shutout with eight strikeouts to help Greensboro (5-3) take the opener. Carsen Hogston’s RBI single to right-center in the bottom of the seventh inning allowed Leanna Bartrug to score the game-winning run in the nightcap for Ferrum (2-8).
