Violet Elizabeth Meeks Flora

Violet Elizabeth Meeks Flora of Boones Mill, VA born November 26, 1928 passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the age of 95 in her home. She was married for 60 years to George Henry Flora, Sr. Preceding her in death was her husband, George Henry Flora, Sr.; son, Terry James Flora; and grandson, George H. Flora III. Surviving are her two children, George Henry Flora, Jr. (wife Cathy); Sandra Flora Larson; six grandchildren, David Sanders (Susan), Ben Sanders, Terry Sanders, Amy Cochran (Jerry), Regina Flora, Kassandra Flora; 12 great-grandchildren, Alex Digenova, Corey Digenova, Hunter Sanders, Ryder Sanders, Adava Johnson, Conner Cochran, Willow Cochran, Kayla Roberts, Allison Gibson, Elizabeth Sizemore, Dylan Flora, Eric Flora; siblings, Oscar Meeks, Ernest Meeks, Ruby Meeks. A special thank you goes out to the hospice nurses that worked with my mom. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Franklin County Humane Society. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024. Interment will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
