Monica Peters Jimenez

Monica Peters Jimenez, age 52 of Myrtle Beach, SC passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022. Monica graduated from Franklin County High School, attended Virginia Western Community College and Horry Technical College in South Carolina. She was a certified personal trainer, aerobics instructor and worked at Heavenly Helpers. She is survived by her daughter, Daniella Noel Jimenez of Charleston, SC; step-daughters, Holly Culp of Charleston, SC and Haley Lambert of Tennessee; mom and dad, Jane and Olyn Peters of Ferrum; special friend, John Pennington of Myrtle Beach, SC; aunts, Kathy Rakes (Tommy), Jo Cox (Bob), Iva Guilliams (David), April Carrol, Gloria Whorley; great-aunt, Nora Underwood; along with many cousins and her lifelong friend, Lee Watson of Blacksburg. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence and Eva Peters, Lacy and Haggie Whorley of Ferrum. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Flora Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will follow in the Whorley Family Cemetery, Ferrum. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
