Elsie Irene Frith Turner

Elsie Irene Frith Turner, age 83 of Henry died Wednesday, October 26, 2022. She was born January 10, 1939 a daughter of the late Woodsy and Nancy Beulah Guilliams Frith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Harvey “John Henry” Turner; siblings, Louise Dillon Perdue (Swanson Dillon and Raymond Perdue), Lucille Turner (Harold), Goldie Wright (Wilks), Sylvia Prillaman (Lawrence), Bertha Spicer; nieces and nephews, Harvey Dillon, Roger Turner and Marjorie Newman; and special friends, James Cannaday and Paul Shively. Mrs. Turner was a member of Henry Baptist Church before moving to Twin Oaks Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Vickie Smith (Michael); brother, Dan Frith (Margie) of Collinsville, Junior Frith of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Darrah Via (Glen); nieces and nephews, Larry Wright (Donna), Bobby Wright (Robin), Joseph Prillaman, Maryann Miller (Steve), Martha Abbott (Dale), David Prillaman, Matthew Prillaman (Terri), Kimberly Grant (David), Ronald Spicer, Monica Greer (Mike), Daniel Frith, Jr., Pam Foley (Ronnie), Timothy Via (Jackie); numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank all the friends who prayed and visited for them over years and also to Red Oak Manor and Intrepid Hospice for their care and concern of mom. They would also like to request no food and in lieu of flowers donations be made to Red Oak Manor (P.O. Box 1157, Rocky Mount, VA 24151). A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Franklin Memorial Park with Pastor Terry Covey officiating. There will be no visitation.
