Dr. Molly O’Dell will present:
“What is Public Health?”
This program will provide an overview of the principles, practices and structure of public health at the global, national, state and local levels.
Dr. O’Dell is a physician and writer who practiced family medicine as a solo practitioner in Buchanan, VA until 1987 when she joined the Virginia Department of Health. There she served as medical director for the Alleghany, Roanoke and New River Health Districts during her 25 years with VDH. She currently serves as a consultant for the Episcopal Church Pension Group and Virginia Tech.
