Berlon Shelborn Naff
On Monday, May 23, 2022 Berlon Naff, age 95 of Boones Mill was called from his earthly home to his eternal home surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Lillian Mills Naff; his parents, Daniel T. & Nora Montgomery Naff; two sisters, Thelma (Roy) Thurman and Mable (Roy) Bowman; four brothers, Russell (Ollie) Naff, Ralph (Danes) Naff, Theo (Alice) Naff and (infant) Donald Alvin Naff. He is survived by his sister, Julie Katherine Jennings; and his beloved children, Donnie (Judy) Naff, Janet (“Billy”) Clements, Jerry (Vonda) Naff, Vickie (Danny) Altice, and Donna Naff. He is also survived by other family members which include 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Penny and Izzie, loving pets, will greatly miss his gentle presence. Berlon is also leaving behind his beautiful church family at Cedar Bluff Church of the Brethren, countless friends and neighbors. A special thanks is extended to his daughter, Janet, who lovingly took care of him every step of the way for seven years in his home in a long and hard journey. Berlon, a loving husband, father, papa, brother, and friend will forever remain in our hearts and minds and there won’t be a day that goes by that we will not miss him. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Flora Funeral Service. A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at Flora Funeral Chapel on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Todd Reed officiating. Interment will take place immediately after the service at the Franklin Memorial Park in Rocky Mount.
