Deputies Find Gun in Vehicle of Liberty High School Student

BEDFORD CO. – On 9/8/21 the Bedford County Sheriff’s Office along with Bedford County Schools administration received information that a student was believed to be in possession of a firearm on school property.

Deputies along with school staff identified and intercepted the student upon arriving at Liberty High School this (Wednesday) morning.

Upon search of the vehicle, a firearm was recovered, and the student was taken into custody by law enforcement without incident.

At this time there have been no known threats made by this student. This investigation is still ongoing.
