Kids, Adults Alike Mingle with Rocky Mount Police, Fire Fighters at National Night Out

ROCKY MOUNT – Rocky Mount and it’s fire and police departments held an open house style get together Tuesday night at their headquarters at 1250 North Main Street.

Dozens came out to interact with police officers, mascots, and fire fighters.

“National Night Out was a lot of fun and a great opportunity for everyone to meet the police officers and first responders,” the Rocky Mount Police Department said on Facebook.

The yearly evening, and those like it around the country are said to add to the quality of life in the local community by reducing crime.

“Now, everyone turn your outside light on the let the bad guys know that you are home and watching,” the police department added.
