Empire Bakery Announces 95 New Positions at their Franklin Co. Facility

ROCKY MOUNT – A major bakery with a facility in Rocky Mount says they need more employees to join their growing enterprise.

Empire Bakery Commissary opened in Roanoke, Virginia in 1997 and has been a fixture in the Rocky Mount community since relocating in 2010. The bakery specializes in creating custom, hand-decorated cakes, and desserts for major retailers. The company broke ground on a new expansion to their facility in 2019 and business has been growing exponentially, company leaders say.

The current workforce is at approximately 150 employees and they are now ready to expand by adding an additional 95 new employees.

Some of the positions available include day-shift production and building upon a new team for second-shift sanitation and warehouse operations.
