Bedford County Realtor Beaten Saturday at Open House, Suspect Arrested
HUDDLESTON – A realtor with Keller Williams Realty out of Lynchburg was assaulted Saturday during her open house at the Mariner’s Landing Subdivision, investigators say.
Police and co-workers say Lenora Farrington was viciously beaten and attacked during her open house Saturday and had to be taken to the hospital for her injuries.
Farrington was along at the time.
Dustin R. Holdren, 34, of Roanoke was arrested Sunday for aggravated malicious wounding and is being held in the the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond following the attack, investigators say.
A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up to help Farrington’s “extensive medical bills and emotional trauma” that she will have the rest of her life, the GoFundMe page says.
“She [Farrington] is the sole provider of her home and moved here for a new life, only to have a vicious man walk in and steal her beautiful innocence,” friend and co-worker Teresa Grant said in a post.
“We can’t take away her physical and mental pain, but we can be here to make her feel safe without financial worry,” Grant continued to explain on the GoFundMe page.
As of this writing, over $84,616 was raised of the $250,000 goal set for the online fundraiser in just under 24-hours.
No motive has been given for the attack by police.
