Axton Woman Found Dead at 619 Minute Market Wednesday

FRANKLIN COUNTY – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 33-year-old Axton woman.

Deputies responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the parking lot of 619 Minute Market at the intersection of Sontag Road and Route 220.

Lauren Elizabeth Monday was found dead in a vehicle parked at the store, investigators say.

Monday’s body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office.

The incident remains under investigation.
