Dog’s Body Found With Mouth Zip-Tied Shut in Pittsylvania Co.
DANVILLE – A reward is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in the deaths of a dog and cat in Pittsylvania County.
The Danville Humane Society says they are putting up the $1,000 reward. No taxpayer money is involved. The money will come from the Earl Merricks Stop the Cruelty Fund.
Pittsylvania County aminal control officers found a dark colored dog dead in a creek off of West Sunrise Road with a ziptie around his muzzle and a block of wood in his mouth Friday off of West Sunrise Road, the humane society says.
The body of a light colored cat was also reported by callers in the area, but has not been found.
Pittsylvania County Animal Control is conducting the investigation, but the reward is being offered by the humane society.
