The “Roaring 20’s” Return to Franklin County for One Night Only
Rocky Mount – Are you ready for the “Roaring 20’s” to make a return? The 2020 Community Partnership “Dancing for a Cause” fundraiser has been set for Friday, March 13th at 6: 30 p.m. in the Franklin County High School Auditorium.
This years event will feature 9 local nonprofits dancing the night away to raise funds and collect votes. This years participants include Tri-Area Health Center (Freestyle), SML Good Neighbors (Swing Dance), Bernard Free Clinic (Square Dancing Mix), Boys Scouts (Tap), DRRC (Musical Theater), STEP Inc. (Freestyle), Faith Network (Freestyle), Wheel Love (Ballroom), and the Community Partnership (Musical Theater).
There will also be special performances throughout the night from the FC Fly Girls, Raise the Barre Dance Studio, and the Blue Ridge Performing Arts Academy.
The curtains will open at 6:30 p.m. for this free community event.
Contestants will dance to win votes for their organization with every dollar raised equalling one vote. The winner will be announced at the end of the evening.
You can vote prior to the event by donating in the organization’s box at office’s and businesses throughout the county.
Food and beverages will be sold by Buddy’s BBQ and the event will also include door prizes, a 50/50 raffle, cake auction, photo op area and a series of “Best Dressed” Contests.
