Shelby A. Winstead

Shelby A. Winstead, age 81 of Rocky Mount, Va. passed away Monday, July 8, 2019. She was born September 11, 1937. She was preceded in death by her father, Dewey Atkins and mother, Juanita Atkins and her brother Johnny Atkins. She is survived by her son Johnny (Jay) Prillaman, daughter-in-law (Kim) and two grandchildren Landon and Jacklyn Prillaman. A special thank you to her friend Regina Davis and to all the staff at Rocky Mount Health and Rehab. Shelby was never at a loss for words-especially when it came to Nascar and Bill Elliott. She loved her grandchildren and always bragged on them. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday July 12, 2019 at Maple Grove Cemetery with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Her family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
