Ferrum Women’s Golfers Compete at Adidas Intercollegiate

DATAW ISLAND, S.C. — Ferrum College women’s golfers Jetta Huffman and Hunter Tharpe competed at the Adidas Intercollegiate, held Monday and Tuesday, March 11-12, at Dataw Island Club’s Morgan River Course.
Huffman shot an 87-94-181, finishing tied for 20th place individually in a field of 42 golfers. Tharpe opened with a 91 on the first day, then withdrew due to an injury. .
Kim Siercks of Indiana Tech shot a two-day 153 to earn medalist, finishing two strokes ahead of Jordan Koller from York College of PA. Indiana Tech won the team title with a 647, five strokes better than York (652). Mount St Joseph was third at 710.
Coach Erick Cox’s duo will be back in action Sunday and Monday, March 24-25, at the Max and Susan Stith Invitational, to be held at The Dominion Club in Richmond, Virginia.
